It was very helpful to learn new techniques to study, take notes and prepare yourself for upcoming exams and tests. After participating in the course I will make sure to have two books for maths (one for what examples and notes and one for what I don’t know), play games and tell story’s to help study as well as taking short hand notes for all subjects. I liked the course as it was very engaging and adaptable to what I will be learning at my level. All the tips and tricks helped a lot, and I'm very grateful for all the one on one and group exercises with Amanda over the months. It was exactly what I was looking for at the start of year 12, as my school hadn't given a lot of clarity and I was very unsteady with my English marks. Amanda said it how it was and that kind of learning helped me so much and I quickly gained a lot of confidence in the subject and in myself to succeed. Something that helped me in class and outside of class. She helped me regain my English confidence and start getting steady marks again, that slowly kept on rising. Besides English itself, Amanda helped me learn a lot about empathy and just the raw state of the world around us, which has helped me develop a more well rounded outlook on what is happening in parts of the world we don't always hear about. Again, helping me move forward in the next few years away from school. I'm very grateful for that :) the tough conversations were always worthwhile. I go to ACE for literature tutoring and it has helped me so much in improving my marks but also my personal skills and habits. The tutors here are extremely understanding and patient and work to your pace and around your schedule rather than setting worksheets or pushing a standardized structure. We've just finished up with Ace Tutoring after 7 years (across two kids) and they were absolutely awesome.  They took our crazy idea on what we felt our kids needed to help them and worked with us. Naturally you don't get the same tutor for the entire 7 years, but Ace worked hard to find the right tutor for each of our kids.  Their tutors were patient, kind, helpful and challenged our kids when and where they needed to be challenged.  They got to know the kids and what they needed, which changed as they got older and their subjects changed.  And at the same time our kids got to see   several of their tutors move on to start their own careers post-study.  What a great opportunity for our kids to see from someone just a little older than them where hard work and tenacity can take them. As a business, Ace were easy to deal with. I participated in both the Study Skills and the Advanced Study Skills and they were both beneficial to me. They helped improve the amount of time I was taking in writing notes and more ways to study such as active recall.
